Q: What is Purely Pinups?
Purely Pinups is a brand new concept/business wishing to fill the niche of Pinup Modeling that has been attempted by many but missed thus far. We are making a stand that Pinup Models come in all shapes and sizes and to discriminate the curvy people of the world is to deny their innate beauty.
Q: Is this a Porn Site?
Absolutely NOT! While underwear, topless, nude, and implied nude modeling is allowed, there will be no pornography allowed on the site. Any that is discovered will get members fired/banned.
Q: I have a lot of random pictures, can I submit them?
You can, but they probably won't be accepted as a set. A Photo Set is a series of photographs that has a theme that runs through each photo. While we respect beautiful pictures, we will require a them of some sort (use your imagination) and that the models in them at least get down to their underwear. Nudity is completely optional and per the wish of the model.
Q: I'm Male. Can I model?
Definately. Unlike many Pinup Sites we don't discriminate dependant on gender. All we ask, of both men and women, is that the pictures be tasteful and original. We don't want "Red Door" pictures, we want a beautiful concept for a beautiful person.
Q: What's this "Red Door" you speak of?
The "Red Door" Concept is where the background/setting of the photo set is stagnant and boring. Taking photographs of a person with only a Red Door for scenery is wasteful. Make the world and idea as beautiful as you are.
Q: I a bit overweight, do I have a chance?
Purely Pinups understands that not everyone is stick thin and we love that. We want people who fit every body shape and form. If you're curvy, then we want to see photos. We will accept/reject photo sets totally on their own merit. Afterall, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Q: I like Bettie Page/Marilyn Monroe/etc, can I model for you?
You can try. What we require at Purely Pinups is a model (Males and Females welcome) who can capture the spirit and beauty of what a Pinup model is. If you wish to contact us with pictures or questions don't hesitate to e-mail us.
Q: I want modeling knowledge, can I ask you anything?
Rampant modeling questions will be ignored by both the founder, Relic and the model coordinator, Raz. We have an area on our forum where you can ask questions about modeling. Please visit that area for modeling questions.
Q: Is this a great way to meet people?
Don't know. If you make friends or anything on the Purely Pinups site, that's awesome. We're not trying to be like so many other sites out there, however, and act more like a dating service than a Pinup site. Pinups are our heart and soul, afterall.
