Post Rules and FAQ'S for Live Models
Q. Ok, I'm a model... when do I get paid?
A. You don't. Since Purely Pinups' inception we have been basically a Not-For-Profit site. This will hopefully change sometime in the future and both Purely and all our models/photographers will be able to make this a career. Until that glorious day everyone is doing this voluntarily. (Except Relic, he actually pays money for the joys of running this place. That's how much he loves you all.)

Q. Why did I have to sign a model releases?
A. We need your legal consent to use the photos of you. All models must sign and return to us before we post the sets.

Q. What type of sets does Purely Pinups accept?
A. We accept all styles of sets. We prefer pinup styles but those range from classic to neo to alt to hardcore and everything in between.

Q. What is a pinup style set?
A. Pinup style set is a set that is original and is all about sexuality and the tease factor.

Q. May my set have Nudity?
A. Yes, your set may have tasteful nudity. Please no pictures of any form of penetration, excessive splaying, or fluid release. These pictures will be instantly denied.

Q. Do I HAVE to have Nudity?
A. Of course not. Unlike many 'Pinup' sites out there, we do not require our models to be partially or fully nude. We understand that sometimes you can be more alluring by keeping parts of your body covered.

Q. I'm a guy, can I be a Purely Model?
A. Once again, of course you may. Purely Pinups is not sexist and will accept models of any genders.

Q. I'm transgendered, can I be a model?
A. I point out once again, we don't discriminate against genders or lifestyle choices. If you can make beautiful pictures, then we want you as one of our models.

Q. Can I submit more than one set at a time?
A. Yes. Though your sets will normally have others between them. If you submit multiple sets then it may take a bit of time before both go live. However your extra sets will be saved for coding.

Q. How many pictures does a set require?
A. We require a minimum of 25 pictures of a similar background/outfit to be submitted. More is ALWAYS welcome, of course.

Q. What do you mean 'Similar Background/Outfit'?
A. We mean that we don't want some shots in the forest, some from indoors, some from the beach, etc. Also please don't change outfits mid-set. If you wish to add/remove clothing do so while showing it being done in the pictures so that the viewers understands. We require this for the flow of the set.

Q. Do you accept black and white sets?
A. Yes we do. We love black and white pictures and accept sets based off of them.

Q. Can I edit/photoshop my pictures before submitting them?
A. Yes you can. However we request that the pictures not be extremely edited/photoshopped to the point that they begin to look fake. Such pictures will be denied if they are deemed too edited.

Q. I have blemishes/scars but I do not have an image editing program, will you edit them out?
A. We can if asked and told what needs to be fixed. We are currently working to recruit some members who have proven themselves trustworthy and capable with editing programs to help edit pictures.

Q. If my set is rejected will I know why?
A. Yes Relic will send you an email explaining why. Do not take it personally if a set is denied. Some of our very best models have had sets denied for one reason or another. Simply take our advice and learn from it.

Q. If my set is rejected can I submit them somewhere else?
A. Yes you can. The releases your photographer signed will be released and you may attempt to utilize the pictures elsewhere.

Q. Can I submit a couple pics to you to see if you will like my set?
A. Yes. Sample pictures can be sent in. However we request that you do not get the opinion of the panel and then take the pictures elsewhere for use. If it's a set for Purely Pinups, we're happy to help. But we can't help the competition that much.

Q. Can I post my pics that are accepted up on myspace, facebook, my website and etc?
A. Yes you can though we ask you to limit the number of pictures posted to around 10 so that the entire set may still be viewed on Purely Pinups only.

Q. If I have any questions who will help me?
A. The two people to ask first are Relic and Aska. Beyond that we will be reinventing the Mentor-A-Model Project which will be an area on the forum where new models can get help from experienced models.

Q. Can I have blood, knives, etc in my pics?
A. Absolutely. Many people think that dark/gore pictures cannot be beautiful, but Purely knows better than that. We simply ask that no actual harm come of people in the pictures.

Q. How many pics do I need to send you for a set?
A. We require a minimum of 25 pictures but allow more. In my humble opinion I prefer it when a model sends in 30-50 or even more pictures. It gives us more to choose from and can make for some truly wonderful and huge sets.

Q. Do you accept copyrighted images?
A. No. Due to legal issues and the fact that Purely Pinups places a limited copyright on all images used, we cannot accept copyrighted images.

Q. I did not have the Model/Likeness Rights or Consent of Audio/Video or Photographer release signed can I still send in my images?
A. No. We have been burned very badly in the past by people we thought to be trustworthy. We cannot and will not accept or approve any images without all releases signed and properly filed by our CEO.

Q. Can I do a set with a friend?
A. Yes. We approve multiple models in sets. We will, however, require the other person in the set to sign appropriate releases in order to use them in the pictures if they are not already a model with us.

Q. Can I have my friend fill out an application?
A. Absolutely. Purely Pinups is always looking for new models and we will accept applications of friends if they meet our standards.

Q. Can I fill out an application for my friend?
A. No. Sorry but they have to fill out their own applications. If the online one doesn't work for them they can e-mail Relic and ask for paper applications to be sent to them via US Postal Service.

Q. I have a question not in this FAQ, who do I ask?
A. Ask Relic. If the question is good enough it will be added to this FAQ. Even if it's not added it will always be answered.

There is a typo at least once in the faq.

Except was used instead of accept. Or was it excepted instead of accepted? Hold on, let me check.

Q. Do you except black and white sets?
A. Yes we do. We love black and white pictures and accept sets based off of them.

It should be accept.

Thank you Chapel.. it's corrected now. That was one of the original questions that was typed up by a person who use to work here. I didn't check it for typos, I just changed the answer up a bit.

If anyone notices any more typos please let me know.
